The morning will feature informative classes, displays and free pH soil testing. This event is sponsored by the Clackamas County Master Gardener™ Association and is FREE and open to the public.
Sessions will be 45 minutes with time for Q & A before the next talk begins:
- 9:00 – The History and Science of the Terrarium presented by Daniel Fender of Roosevelt’s Terrariums.
- A terrarium is a self-sustained ecosystem that thrives in any clear glass container with a nicely fitting lid. That lid traps moisture and gas inside, recycling these elements over and over to keep the plants and moss happy and healthy for decades to come. The door prize at end of this presentation will be a gift card for Roosevelt’s Terrariums. www.rooseveltspdx.com/about
- 10:00 – Seeds and Seed Propagation – a talk by Ann Amato – specialist in plant and seed propagation.
- This presentation is designed to equip gardeners with the knowledge to start plants – ensuring a vigorous, productive garden with unique plant material. Covered will be the science of germination, methods for successful sowing, and the transition from indoors to the garden. The door prize at end of this session will include a basket with some of Ann’s favorite seeds. https://annlovesplants.com/
- 11:00 Growing Early Season Vegetables – a presentation by Jane Collier, Clackamas County Master Gardener vegetable expert.
